Often I have joked about how much supplies I have to work with… and sometimes I mention how long something has stared me down, mocking me until the inspiration comes.
Brace yourselves… some of these supplies are long gone in the scrap and crafty world. I am just hanging onto them long enough for them to come back into style and be new again! LOL!
~1~
Paper Bag Albums. As you can see… I have STACKS of paper bag albums that are ready for embellishing and titles. Yep, that whole stack is all ready covered with paper, the most tedious part of the process….
~2~
Composition Notebooks. In defense of this stack of notebooks, I had planned to teach a class on these which fell through… I still have high hopes for these books. If one day the class comes, great, if not, then I have a lot of notebooks to alter!
~3~
Creative Imaginations Bare Elements Wood Words. Yes, I did purchase these for all of $1.30 at a store closing (RIP Lifetime Moments… I miss you so!) While there are only SIX of these… they mock me on a daily basis. Really?? These would be so super cute when they are all completed. Wonder when they will be done? LOL!
~4~
7 Gypsies Photo Carousels. Again, their numbers might not be mighty… only 3 of these in the house… I cannot even find the products that would complete this particular project. Maybe this is why they mock me so. Having done one of these for a silent auction not long ago, I can say that they are A LOT of work, considering I will have to cut all the pages and hole punch each by hand… it is a daunting mock situation here.
~5~
KaiserCraft Wooden Albums. Hey, when you find a sale on something so cute, you cannot pass it up. My motto of “Eh? It’s all a tax deduction” has got to go… my new motto needs to be “Craft each day!” Thankfully these mock me from behind closed doors… or at least a canvas tote on a shelf so I cannot SEE them mocking me each day.
~6~
BoBunny Word Albums. Man oh man, I have too many albums to work on! I have done these in the past, and have loved the results.
~7~
Canvas. Again, in my defense, these mock me because I got such an amazing deal on them. Picture this: Me and my two sisters driving to MICHAEL’S at 8pm on Thanksgiving Night. All of the items we use the most are currently on sale for 50% off… BUT WAIT! What is this I see?? A Michael’s Coupon for an additional 30% off our entire order for Thanksgiving night!?! Now picture the three of us walking to the checkout with 3 carts full of goodies! LOL! Thankfully I have some custom orders to do up this week.. and will be teaching a crayon canvas class in a couple of weeks… so they will mock me no more!
~8~
Luggage. Yes, pretty much I will pick up any vintage luggage I can find while out thrifting. What? I have done nothing with any of them yet? Well, now you mock me too? Hmmpt! As you can see on the two small ones I at least started them by painting them. I know EXACTLY what I want to do with them once I sit down to them on my craft table. (I even picked up a stack of fun maps in anticipation of one such idea – no you will not find the maps on my list today, though they are sitting just an arms reach from my current position, and they too do mock me!) Oh, and did I fail to mention? I have two shelves of suit cases in the garage as well?? Eek!

Mixed variety of jewelry boxes and things. Each time I am out thrifing or garage sailing, and find a cute jewelry box, or other item screaming to be altered, I have to pick it up… it is a sickness! Thankfully, these items mock me from afar.. they are currently housed in our coal chamber in the basement. Out of sight, mostly out of mind!
~10~
Expressions Cricut machine. Ok, this one does make me a bit sad. I have about 10 different cartridges for this brand new machine I received from my boys for Christmas… but do you think I have even tried it out, let alone plug it in?? Nope… I feel like such a slug when it comes to this one. MOCK MOCK MOCK… ugh! Soon, I will try out all these fun cartridges soon. Promise!
Now, please let me redeem myself a little bit here… I was almost going to add this stack of 18 shadow boxes onto my list today… but oh! What is this??
Boo-yah! Yes, over the last two days I have worked on and completed 15 of said 18 shadow boxes with grand plans of completing the rest of them today AND taking pictures AND listing them into my Etsy shop by tomorrow!
Over the last few months, I will get into a groove when I can actually sit down to work on some of these things. BUT, if I have to stop and say, take a holiday with family, then I have the hardest time getting back into the swing of things. Each year I resolve to be creative every day… and now that I am on a roll with these shadow boxes, I will not want to stop again any time soon… travel for family time? Oh, that is still months away. Hope to squash these mocking things over the next several months!
Thanks to Amanda over at OhAmanda.com for letting me link up to her Top Ten Tuesday today! YOU ROCK as always!

Oh man — that reminds me! Eric gave me the train case that you left when you were here. I’m afraid I may never get rid of the old lady smell in it so it’s still in the garage (LOL), but it’s very cute. Thanks!
LOL.. Angie that is so funny, as I was just thinking about that case the other day. Wonder if you put an opened box of softener sheets in there for a week. Old lady smell is not fun… sorry about that!
Glad you think it’s cute anyhoo!
