Monday Munchies: Dr. Seuss Moose and Goose Juice

by Kristin on January 17, 2011

Hello Friends! This weekend my youngest son went out of town sledding with his dad, which left just the teens and me at home. While we did a few things outside the house on this cold weekend, the most fun thing we did this last weekend was to pull out the Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham cookbook that I chatted about on my Top Ten Tuesday Favorite cookbooks a couple of weeks ago.  We made of few of the juice drinks, and I HAD to share them with you all because they were pretty darn good.

The Moose Juice was DELISH, and reminded me of the old Orange Creamsicle Ice Cream pops from days gone by, while the Goose Juice made my lips pucker because it was a sour drink that I won’t be trying again anytime soon. (unless we tweak the recipe a bit)

No matter if you have little ones or teenagers at home, or wish to bring out the kid in you, I highly suggest you give these a try. If you love these recipes, be sure to be on the lookout for this book either near you or online.  I know the Scholastic Store currently has this book on sale!!

Thank you Dr. Seuss!

2. Pour into a glass and top with the whipped cream.

Makes one serving.

Goose Juice:

  • 1/4 cup lime juice or 1 1/2 Tbsp. Frozen Lime concentrate
  • 1.2 cup lime sherbet
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 Tbsp. Whipped Cream

1. Put the kiwis, lime juice or concentrate, sherbet and ice cubes in a blender. Puree until smooth.
