Last year we were a bit ticked off at old Mother Nature. She totally forgot about summer in our part of the World. I know we only received about five days when the temperatures soared above 80*. But then, our winter wasn’t too horrible this last year either, so I wasn’t about to complain. I believe while the rest of the country was getting record snow falls, we received a measly 12 inches over the entire winter! EEK!
This year is a whole other shooting match! The weather has been amazing so far! Many days in the high 80′s and 90′s! Whoothoo! For those of you who know me well, I am always cold… so this weather is right up my alley. I have very much enjoyed spending time on my front porch recently. At least, when I haven’t been gallivanting all over the country! We have an amazing view of Lake Huron just a quarter block away from my home, and the beach is also just a stones throw away. While I haven’t been home quite as much as I would like to enjoy it, I find that my scrap booking has suffered GREATLY amidst all this amazing weather and much travel. I am in a FUNK! Yep, all capital letters there people. F-U-N-K. I have loads of projects half finished, and piled high on my scrap tables. I keep saying that I need to get on top of those things…considering my husband let me quit my job to start scrapping my days away. The only things going away are the days… more quickly than I had anticipated. I cannot believe it is the middle of July all ready. I think the older we get, the faster time goes by. What ever happened to the long days of running town all day with friends. Those days never ended! Now there is just not enough time in any given day.
I need a Funk Buster! If you are an inventor, get on top of that will ya?? You could make a boat load of cash in no time flat! So, how am I going to get out of this funk? In all fairness, I have been working on some cutie beaded book marks… but the projects I would LOVE to see completely are staring me down, mocking me, and making me feel inadequate. They say if you are having difficulties, you should step away from your project for a day to re-group and look at it with fresh eyes. But what if a day has turned into a week, or a month? What are some of your favorite funk busters when it is so beautiful outside? I would love some great suggestions!
